Whiteboards and iPads ... bloody luxury! In my day...

A surprisingly interesting view into the history of formal education. 30 - 1 may not sound that attractive as a (pupil : teacher) ratio, but it's better than 257 - 1 (the record for the school hall) or even the 50 boys educated in the gallery classroom featured in this shot.

Try and visit when there is a Victorian school lesson running.

One of the most British attractions I've visited

A short ride on the Leighton Buzzard railway. Both interesting and, well, a bit rough round the edges as a tourist attraction.

Do you fancy a square sweet that looks round?

The kids loved the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery at Bucks County Museum, well worth a visit.

Grazing among the grasses at Kew Gardens

Spring time is picnic time in London. And Kew Gardens is where all the pro picnicers go picnicing. Or so I'm told. These snaps were taken in the Palm House.

Cape Town's all about the mountain // @TableMountainCa

It's been three years since I last visited the top of the mountain and today I was lucky enough to have crystal clear visibility.

Chatting with the voice of cycling // @PhilLiggett

2012 sep 09 london 2012 img_7738

We bumped into Phil Liggett on his way to the Paralympics today. He stopped and chatted for a good few minutes. It was a pleasure to share stories of South African cycling from many moons ago as well as some "insider insight" on the pro ranks. He was even happy to pose for this pic - what a great sport! Chapeau Phil!
