So much to sea and do at The Historic Dockyard Chatham / @dockyardchatham

The Historic Dockyard Chatham, once the largest employer in the UK, made for an interesting day out. Submarine visits, steamer ships, the RNLI Historic Lifeboat collection, a science show and much more besides.

Inspecting an HMS Ocelot, an oberon class submarine

Looking out for hostile rugby teams in advance of the World Cup later this year.

Touring the torpedo room. Some of these bad boys would come in handy on the streets of Jo'burg.

Taking in the view from the bridge aboard the RNLB Edward Bridges.

Medieval knights / @leedscastleuk

A really lovely weekend glamping in the grounds of Leeds Castle. "Free" access to the castle meant we could come and go among the beautiful facilities. Wonderful facilities in a spectacular setting.

Visiting the breaktaking Corfe Castle // @ntcorfecastle

It's hard not to be bowled away by the view of Corfe Castle dominating the top of the hill. The town is charming and the castle itself made for an interesting morning's explore. Viking re-enactments were a treat for the young 'uns.

Oh dear, what have I done now?

No geography field trip is complete without a trip to Durdle Door

We couldn't have been luckier with the weather (and that's not something you hear often about a trip on an English bank holiday weekend!).

Getting up close and personal with Durdle Door.

Enjoying the view over Man 'o War bay.

Storming the castle @WarwickCastle

A return visit to Warwick Castle after ten years. Righting a blogging wrong as there was no Teddybok last time we visited because it was in the few months between first leaving South Africa and buying the bok.

Still impressive although I'm not sure the balance between historic attraction and theme-park has been well struck. That said, a great day out with plenty to see and do.
