Stockholm - Teddybok size

Enjoying a local playground with a "historic architecture" theme. Check out Bryggartappan if you want to keep the ankle-biters active for a few hours.

Visiting fellow deer at Skansen // @skansen

It is always important to ensure that the local deer are well looked after. Here's one of Santa's team building up strength for December.

Just ... "wow" at the Vasa Museum //@thevasamuseum

It's hard to imagine the sense of awe you experience at seeing a 350 year old ship in such great detail, and that is without taking into account the 333 years it spent on the Stockholm sea bed. The Vasa Museum.

O'er field and dale

A country walk and a trip to the pub.

PS I know, it's not strictly a dale, but it makes for a better title.

Enjoying Brunel's Bristol

Isambard Kingdom Brunel - the man who connected Bristol to London and, indeed, to the world.

Enjoying a riverside view.

Sailing the oceans blue on a true piece of history @ssGreatBritain

A fascinating trip to the SS Great Britain, "moored" in the very same dry dock in which she was built 150 years ago.

Heading below the "water line" to see the great iron hull.

She wasn't the first ship built of iron or equipped with a screw propeller, but she was the first to combine these features in a large ocean-going ship.

Imagining life aboard the ship.
